A major event in the road and urban transport calendar, the I-nnovation AWARDS distinguish the innovations by SOLUTRANS exhibitors that improve the performances of companies in the sector.

Since 2019, the I-nnovation AWARDS have been organised by FFC in a revisited format and with a new visual identity, remodelled award criteria and a broader judging panel. This is made up of technical executives from heavy commercial vehicle manufacturers, acknowledged industry professionals (partner transport federations, competitivity clusters) and specialist journalists. The new trophies are furthermore unique and have been made by an artist.

From around a hundred submissions, 25 innovations were shortlisted: seven in the Body Builders category, seven in the Equipment suppliers category, seven in the Digital Award category, and finally four in the new Cargo bike category.

Additionally, a special “Joseph Libner” award, in tribute to the former FFC Chairman, is presented to an innovation with a specific environmental aspect from across the Body Builders and Equipment Suppliers categories.

The winners were announced at the official awards ceremony on Tuesday 21 November at 7.00pm at the Lyon Groupama Stadium.

Attendees witnessed the presentation of:

  • 3 awards - Gold, Silver and Bronze - in the Body Builders category;
  • 3 awards - Gold, Silver and Bronze - in the Equipment Suppliers category;
  • 3 “Digital AWARDS” to reward a winner in each of the categories of “software publishing” and “connectivity solutions”. The judges also presented their own “Special Award”.
  • 1 special Joseph Libner award in the Body Builders and Equipment Suppliers categories.

The Cargo Bike awards were presented on an experimental basis to underscore the important innovations of this new sector of the show, which prefigure tomorrow’s urban-centric transportation. The winners were designated by SOLUTRANS and FFC.
