Under the auspices of the tradeshow SOLUTRANS (from 21 to 25 November 2023), the judging panel for the I-nnovation AWARDS met on 12 October at the French Bodywork Federation (FFC), to select the most innovative entries in this 2023 edition.

From around a hundred submissions, 25 innovations were shortlisted: seven in the Body Builders category, seven in the Equipment suppliers category, seven in the Digital Award category, and finally four in the new Cargo bike category.

Additionally, a special “Joseph Libner” award, in tribute to the former FFC Chairman, will be presented to an innovation with a specific environmental aspect from across the Body Builders and Equipment Suppliers categories.

The winners will be announced at the official award ceremony on Tuesday 21 November at 7.00pm at an evening at the Lyon Groupama Stadium.

An exceptional vintage

The judging panel of the I-nnovation AWARDS is made up of technical officers from HGV manufacturers, acknowledged industry professionals (partner transport federations, competition clusters, etc.) and specialist journalists. These experts deliberated extensively to ultimately select the best innovative solutions in the various categories. This year, the jury drew attention to the very high standard of entries submitted, which is a sign of the undisputable dynamism of the sector. Among the entries feature 40 world previews and 70 patents.

The judges paid particular tribute to the dedication of entrants, who were keen to showcase their innovations focussing on aspects including vehicle and personal safety, connectivity, fuel economy, carbon emission reduction, efficiency, and biofuels.
